Amalia was born in Havana, Cuba, on July 12, 1939, to the late Edita Marie Gonzalez and Jose Barral. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Clarence Rowe; her sister, Dora Anderson; and her son, Bobby Rowe.

Amalia and Charles Rowe married in October 1957. She loved sharing the story of their courtship and the joy they found in dressing up and going out dancing. Their union was blessed with four children. Sadly, Amalia became a widow in January 1982 and devoted herself to raising their children.

As a dedicated nurse for 34 years, Amalia worked for Memorial Hospital (now known as Tennova), Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, and various skilled nursing facilities. Her greatest passion was nursing in the Emergency Room Department, where she touched countless lives with her skills and empathy.

Amalia embraced life fully, enjoying travel, especially to the beach. She find pleasure in reading, crafting flower arrangements, and creating wreaths to give as gifts. Known for her giving spirit, Amalia's true love was cooking. She delighted in sharing meals with family, friends, and coworkers, expressing her love through the art of food.

Amalia is survived by her sons, Charlie (Yulanda) Rowe and James Rowe; her daughter, Amalia-Sissy (Jason) Fisher. She also leaves behind many who loved her, including grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and her little dog, Lulu.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all the doctors, nursing staff, CNAs, skilled nursing facilities, transportation agencies, and friends who cared for our mother over the years and provided compassionate care and support during her final days. Special thank you to Rick Reda for recognizing our mother's needs and offering his help without hesitation. The professional care shown to our mother gave her the additional time she cherished to spend with family and friends, for which we are forever grateful.

Her legacy of kindness, dedication to family, strength and feistiness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Rest in peace, Momma you will be forever remembered and cherished.

Pallbearers will be: Charlie Rowe, James Rowe, Mark Anderson, Charles Fisher, Mason Fisher, and Nathan Fisher.
