Barbara Dawn Ely

A Celebration of Life service for Barbara Dawn Ely, age 80, of Clarksville, TN, will be Friday, August 18, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm until the time of service.

Barbara was born on September 23, 1942 in San Antonio, TX to Thomas and Teresa Wilson who preceded her in death. She passed away on July 8, 2023. Barbara worked for the government in procurement for many years and volunteered at Clarksville Humane Society and the hospital. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved her grandchildren more than anything. Barbara enjoyed playing BINGO and visiting casinos.

She is survived by her children: Kevin (Lisa) Ely, Ted (Nicole) Ely, and Brad (Jennifer) Ely; sister and best friend, Mary Kay Eriksson; grandchildren: Seth (Kathryn) Ely, Jacob (Rachael) Major, Blaine Ely, Ethan Minton, Zack Ely, and Mia Ely; and great-granddaughter, Talulah. 

The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at Spring Meadows and Aseracare Hospice, especially Linda and Kathy.
