Bobby Gene Gregory, age 93, of Hendersonville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully in his home on March 17, 2026.
Bobby was a devoted Christian, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather and friend whose life was defined by love for his family, pride in his home, and a quiet strength that touched everyone who knew him.
He shared a lifelong marriage of 72 years with his beloved wife, Ruth Gregory, and together they built a family that became his greatest pride and joy.
He was a devoted Christian who loved his church and his church family, finding great comfort, community, and purpose in his faith throughout his life.
He is survived by his Wife, Ruth Gregory; his daughters, Cynthia Gregory and Beverly DeGeorge; his grandchildren, Christopher DeGeorge (Amber), Shelby Gregory, Coleman DeGeorge (Jill), and Chandler Colter (Max); and his cherished great-grandchildren, Lincoln, Jackson, Kennedy, Anderson, Eloise and soon to be baby Boy in August. His legacy continues to live on through each of them.
Bobby proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. His service reflected the same dedication and reliability that he carried throughout his life. He found happiness in the simple things—spending time outdoors, keeping his lawn and garden in perfect condition, and taking pride in clean, well-kept cars. Above all, he treasured holidays wearing his red sweater vest surrounded by his large and loving family.
On behalf of the family, we would like to personally thank his caregivers and friends who ensured he was well taken care of and loved for his final days at home. We are forever grateful for those special memories.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Bobby’s life at McFerrin Missionary Baptist Church, located at 431 West Old Hickory Boulevard, Madison, Tennessee 37115.
