Bobby G. Lyle

Bobby Geneva Lyle, age 77, of Clarksville, TN passed away Friday, December 29, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 2pm at Sykes Funeral Home. Rev. Jerry Jeter and Rev. Gary Herndon will officiate.
Burial will follow at Alex Yarbrough Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 from 1pm until the time of service.

Bobby entered this life on April 4, 1946, to the late Raymond Ervin and Johnnie Louise Jackson Lyle. He served his country during Vietnam in the United States Army from 1967-1969. When he returned home, he married the love of his life, Freddie L. Yarbrough, on August 29, 1969. Bobby was a dedicated employee of Montgomery County Highway Department for more than 41 years. He was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. He loved the Lord, his family and sharing special memories from throughout his life.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife and brother, Ervin Lee Lyle. Left to cherish his memory are children, Bobby Leroy (Glenda) Lyle, Dorothy (Kevin) Austin, Glen Darrell (Mindy) Blackard, grandchildren, Matthew and Hannah (Heberer) Davidson, Emily Davidson, Katie Mount, Jackson Mount, Dylan Byard, Dusty Blackard, bonus granddaughters Rylan Chew and Adalynn Merritt, great grandchild, Mylo Davidson, sister, Shirley Chandler, sister-in-law, Byde Lyle, many nieces and nephews, and his faithful dog Max. All of whom he loved dearly.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

A special thanks to Aveanna Hospice, Dr. Louis Garrard, and Dr. Lance Sherley for their loving care over the years.
