Cecil Hilary Evelyn Persen

A Celebration of Life service for Cecil Hilary Evelyn Persen, age 63, of Clarksville, TN, will be Sunday, August 17, 2025 at 3:30 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2:30 PM until the time of service.

Cecil was born on April 18, 1962 in Panama. He passed away on August 11, 2025. Cecil lived in Puerto Rico and New York for the majority of his life, but called Clarksville home for the last 10 years. To those who knew and loved him, he was known as Dad or Chino, but his most cherished name was Grandpa. Aside from spending time with his family, Cecil enjoyed painting, singing, fishing, and playing the guitar. He truly was a "Jack-of-all-trades" who could build anything from cars to homes. Cecil will be remembered for his caring heart and loving nature.

He is preceded in death by his father, Cecil Evelyn Nurse; sister, Meryl Scoles; and 2 great grandchildren. Cecil is survived by his mother, Gertrudis Persen; children: Cecilio (Marysol) Persen, Emily (Tim) Wille, Gabriel Evelyn, Angelica (Ryan) Hebron, and Jesenia Evelyn; sisters: Gloria Ross, Nilka Evelyn, and Pamela Maxwell; grandchildren: Tanya Flores, Destiny Persen, Justin Persen, Bionca Persen, Jaden Persen, Shayla Wille, Ethan Wille, Aronna Hebron, Aaron Hebron, Andrew Hebron, Jase Khan, and Jaslyn Khan; 9 great-grandchildren; and former wife and mother to three of his children, Marybeth Evelyn.
