Funeral service for Charlie Virgil Merritt, age 44 of Clarksville, will be Saturday, Oct 08, 2016 at 3:00 pm at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends on Saturday, Oct 08, 2016 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Sykes Funeral Home.
Charlie passed away on Thursday, Oct 06, 2016 at Centennial Medical Center. He was born on Feb 28, 1972 in Blooming Prairie, MN to James and Joan Merritt.
He served in the United States Army for six and a half years where he received numerous medals, ribbons, and badges.
Charlie is preceded in death by his parents, James Merritt and Joan Merritt, grandparents; Florence and Robert Caton and Charles and Hazel Nichols, brother in law, Mike Kaplor, and nephew, Micky Kaplor.
He is survived by his mother, Sue Merritt, son, Tristan Merritt, daughters; Terridawn Merritt and Scarlett Merritt, brothers; James (Lori) Merritt Jr. and Bryan (Debb) Merritt, sisters; Dawn Bushey and Pamella (Warren) Johnson.
