In Loving Memory of Cheryl Ann Yarbrough
Cheryl Ann Yarbrough, née Karns, age 70, was called home to the Lord on October 9, 2026, in Clarksville, Tennessee, the town where she was born, raised, lived her life, and called home.
Cheryl dedicated much of her life to caring for children. Her love for children was a defining part of who she was, and she spent many years helping care for and nurture the youngest members of her community. Above all, Cheryl was a wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family was an important part of her life, and she leaves behind a legacy that will continue through the generations who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed by those whose lives she touched, and the memories made with her will remain a lasting part of her family's story.
Cheryl is survived by her loving husband, David Yarbrough; her son, Derrick Yarbrough, and his spouse, Michelle; and her daughters, Britney Petersen and her spouse, Tom, and Casey Johnson and her spouse, Clayton.
She is also survived by her six beloved grandchildren: Andrew Yarbrough, Vaughan Haines, Madelyn Petersen, Coltan Johnson, Nikolas Johnson, and Maxwell Johnson, who carry forward her family's legacy.
The family will hold a private ceremony to honor Cheryl's life and celebrate her homegoing. They respectfully ask for your continued thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in the hope of eternal life and the promise that, through faith, we may one day be reunited in God's presence.
