Chester Horace Albright

Chester Horace Albright, 90, went to his heavenly home on October 15, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Clarksville, TN, on April 16, 1936, to Robert Dorris Albright and Margaret Morrison Davis. Chester attended Clarksville High School and graduated in 1954, where he was a member of FFA and lettered in baseball. Upon graduation, he went up North to work for Frigidaire. He returned home to date his future wife, Patricia Ann King, whom he married in 1956. They were married for 60 years and raised two children. After Ann’s passing, Chester was fortunate enough to marry Jane Rye Morrison. They enjoyed 10 ½ years together.

Chester was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church for 75 years. Early in Chester’s professional career, he worked for Ben Welch Construction, Adanaroc, & Ardinger’s Studio. Later, Chester was self-employed as a plumber and farmer. He spent the latter of his career on the family farm, growing crops and tending the land. Chester was well admired for his superior craftsmanship as a plumber, electrician, carpenter, and mechanic. His hobbies were stockcar racing, playing cards, fishing, and hunting deer and quail. Chester loved time spent with his family around the table eating homemade meals.

In addition to his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Sloop, and grandson, Adam Christopher Puthoff. Chester is survived by his wife, Jane Morrison Albright; son, Tony (Debbie) Albright; daughter, Lanita (Steve) Puthoff; sister, Cathie Gibbs; grandchildren, Drew (Craig) Puthoff, Tiffany (Robert) Griffey, and Courtney (Eric) Kimsey; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be October 20, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home with Pastor Josh Newberry and Pastor Paul Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Mallory's Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 19, 2026 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and again on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the hour of service.

Pallbearers will be Steve Puthoff, Drew Puthoff, Trampas Morrison, Michael Gibbs, Hunter Gibbs, and Hoss Gibbs.

Honorary pallbearers will be Emerson Burney, Wayne Shearon, and Logan Griffey.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations in Chester’s name to Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, 5050 Pickering Road, Clarksville, TN 37043.
