Connie Anderson

A Celebration of Life Service for Connie Anderson, 65, of Clarksville, TN will be Friday, June 12, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 12, 2026 from 11:00 AM until the hour of service.

Connie LaMorris Harrison-Anderson was born on March 26, 1961, in Columbia, South Carolina, to SSG Thomas Harrison, Sr. and Mary F. Harrison. She was called home on June 2, 2026.

Connie graduated from Lower Richland High School in Hopkins, South Carolina, with the Class of 1980. Afterward, she attended Midlands Technical College and Allen University in Columbia, South Carolina. There, she met her husband, Kenneth ("Kenny") Anderson, and together they were blessed with four children.

Connie enjoyed gardening, natural herbal remedies, and she also took great pride in caring for her hair. She loved spending time with her family and especially being around her children and grandchildren. Whether it was a family gathering or simple visit, Connie was happiest when surrounded by the people she loved. She always and without any hesitation, placed others before herself. Connie will be remembered for her caring heart and the kindness she showed to others throughout her life. She was a safe haven.

In addition to her late father, SSG Thomas Harrison, Sr., Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth ("Kenny") Anderson, Sr.; her older brother, Robert Lewis Harrison; and her older sister, Joyce Belinda Harrison.

Connie leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Mrs. Mary F. Harrison; her children, Kendra (Avan) Shanklin, Kenneth Anderson, Jr., Kenysha Anderson, and Kennie G. Anderson; her grandchildren, Kaleb Shanklin, David Jayden Brown, Jr., Isaiah "Sai" Anderson, Kenneth Anderson III, and Kenley Anderson; her great-grandchildren, Maahes Shanklin and Messiah Shanklin; her brothers, Thomas (Joyce) Harrison, Larry (Betty) Harrison, Raymond Harrison, Michael Harrison, and Bernard Harrison, all of Columbia, South Carolina; her sisters, Jackie Harrison of Columbia, South Carolina, Deborah (Donald) Washington of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Vickie (Victor, deceased) Stackhouse of Columbia, South Carolina; one uncle, Odell L Johnson is of Columbia, South Carolina; two aunts, Elizabeth H. Robinson of Kansas City, Kansas, and Janie B. Anthony of Columbia, South Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends, all of whom she cherished dearly.
