Dakota Nearing

A Celebration of Life service for Dakota Allen Nearing, 25, Clarksville, TN, will be Monday, January 3, 2022, at 11:30 AM at Sykes Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Palmyra United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Dakota passed away on December 26, 2021. He was born in Logansport, IN, on October 25, 1996.

Dakota was a generous person who had a great sense of humor and always wore a smile. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, going to the shooting range, and working on cars.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Clifford Jones and Sue Cornelius; and paternal grandmother, Carol Cleveland. Dakota is survived by his father, Michael (Jessica) Nearing; mother, Mechelle Nearing; siblings: Ashley Nearing, Amber Nearing, Melinda Jones, Sean Nearing, and Michael Nearing II; paternal grandfather, Ronald (Eileen) Nearing; and many more nieces, nephews, and loving family members
