Donna Lynn Slate, age 61 of Palmyra, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at her residence. Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at the Funeral home.
She was born in Clarksville on May 31, 1953 to the late Melvin H. and Iva Lou Rye McElroy. She was retired from Jostens Yearbook Company.
She is survived by her husband, John T. "Red" Slate, Jr; sons, Michael T.(Alisha)Slate, Scotty R. Slate, Joshua N. Slate; brother, Phillip McElroy; sisters, Betty Sills, Eva Parker; grandchildren, Tamara, Hunter, Mackenzie, Sebastian; 4 nephews and 1 niece.
