Dorothy Hoard

A Celebration of Life service for Dorothy Grace Hoard, age 89, of Clarksville, TN, will be Friday, June 3, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. Bro. David Mackens will officiate. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.

Dorothy passed away on May 29, 2022. She was born on August 15, 1932 in Clarksville, TN to William and Bessie Bailey Abbott. Dorothy was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Dorothy also enjoyed fishing and playing cards.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Hoard; siblings, Leona, Henry and Arthur Abbott; and grandson, Justin Davis. She is survived by her children: Freddie (Toni) Hoard, Donna (Jimmy) Davis, Danna (Paul) Shannon, and Ronnie (Brenda) Hoard; grandchildren: Alyssa Dyce, Jarred Davis, Chelsey Manners, Cassie Bluedorn, Morgan Beck, Kyle Shannon, Brandi Webb, and Freddie Allen Hoard; and great grandchildren: Abbrianna, Cambree, Taden, Adelynn, Tanner, Davis, Tegan, Cohen, Case, Landry, and Tucker.

Pallbearers will be Jarred Davis, Kyle Shannon, Freddie Allen Hoard, Andrew Manners, Curtis Rodenhaber, Neal Hardin, DeWayne Abbott and Lathe Gaither.
