A Celebration of Life service for Edward Ray Johnson, 82, of Clarksville, TN will be on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. Bro. Ted Denny will officiate. Burial will follow at Sango Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
Edward was born on November 12, 1938 in Christian County, KY. He passed away on November 9, 2021 at home, surrounded by his family. Edward was a Montgomery County Sheriffs Reserve Deputy for 33 years. Over the years he was a wrecker driver for JoJo's Garage and a truck driver for companies such as Reich Oil Company, Jackson Oil, Orgain Ready Mix, and Hollingsworth Oil. He enjoyed spending time with his family, tinkering in his garage, playing golf, and playing softball on the Sheriff's Department Recreational League in his earlier years.
Edward is preceded in death by his parents, William Johnson and Pauline Burke; his sons, Edward Ray Johnson, Jr. and David "Bubba" Johnson; and siblings: Austin Johnson, Danny Johnson, and Edna Sue Upton. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Marion Seay Johnson; daughters-in-law, Debbie Johnson and Jennifer Johnson; sisters, Dorothy Jane (Jim) Weisend and Patty (Randy) Hunt; sister-in-law, Carol Johnson; grandchildren, Kelsey (Kreigh) Bourff and Shelby Johnson; and great-grandchildren, Harper Ray Bourff and Beckett Edward Bourff.
