Elvira Gonzalez, age 86, of Woodlawn, TN passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013 at Signature Healthcare. Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 12, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Sykes Funeral Home. Burial will follow at a later date in Puerto Rico.
She was born in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico on June 30, 1927 to the late Emillian and Carmella Mendez Gonzalez.
She was a member of the Catholic Church and a homemaker.
She is survived by a son, Manuel Rivera; daughters, Acelia Kouba, Yolanda Decker, Eva Rivera, several brothers and sisters, 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
