Funeral service for Evelyn Mae Meier, age 71 of Clarksville, will be Tuesday, Dec 20, 2016 at 12:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the KY Veterans Cemetery West. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Dec 20, 2016 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home.
Evelyn passed away on Saturday, Dec 17, 2016. She was born on Aug 12, 1945 in Newton Falls, Ohio to Harry and Mary Wright.
Evelyn was a loving and compassionate woman who put others before herself, put family first, and loved all of God's creatures. She worked as a registered nurse as well as serving students at APSU. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who spread joy and happiness to everyone she met.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Manfred Meier; son, Gary Meier; daughter, Cheryl (Chris) Brown; son, Dale (Angela Fanne-Meier) Meier; daughter, Linda Meier; sister, Jane Lewis; sister, Marilyn Wolfgang; brother, Dale Wright; grandchildren, Nathaniel and Aliya Brown.
Donations may be made to United Way in lieu of flowers.
