Frances Underwood

Funeral service for Frances Underwood, age 91 of Clarksville, will be Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Sykes Funeral Home. Doug Tomes will officiate. Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery in Palmyra, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday, from 9:00 AM until the time of service.

Frances  passed away on April 18, 2018. She was born on May 21, 1926 in Gause, TN to James and Inez Hunt. She was a member of Grace Fellowship. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Underwood; brothers, Robert and Bailey Hunt; sisters, Carlene Grimes, Gladys Hudson, Mabel Randolph, Georgia Louise Hunt, Madge Elizabeth Hunt, and Betty Ann Hunt. She was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend.

She is survived by son, Ted (Rose) Underwood; grandchildren, Lee (Joe) Underwood-Arndt and Sarah Underwood; great-grandchildren, Mason Adams, Juno and Maxwell Arndt; and sister, Mercedes Pitt.
