Geraldine Brooks Cole

A Celebration of Life service for Geraldine Brooks Cole, age 73, of Clarksville, TN, will be Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at 3:00PM at Sykes Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until the time of service. A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Nashville.

Geraldine was born on August 5, 1949, in New Orleans, LA, to Rufus and Dorothy Brooks. She was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Geraldine loved inventing things and writing songs. However, she took the most pride in her family and her role as a mother and grandmother.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her brother, Clarence Brooks. Along with her mother, Dorothy Dunmore, Geraldine is survived by her children: Arthur Cole III, Sean Cole, Charlene (Lawrence) Martin, Darlene Fowler-Davis, and Cerissa McQueen; siblings Rufus L. Brooks and Lois Brooks; grandchildren: Delante, Precious, Kevin, Eric, Jada, Cassandra, Tyquan, and Tara; former husband of 25 years, Arthur Cole Jr.; many nieces and nephews; and a host of loving family members.
