James Edward Nance

A Celebration of Life service for James Edward Nance, age 76, of Clarksville, TN, will be Sunday, March 8, 2026 at Pleasant View Baptist Church in Cumberland Heights at 3:00 PM with Bro. David Mackens officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday at the church from 1:00 PM until the hour of service.

He was born on March 9, 1949 in Clarksville to Raby Sr. and Susie Nance who preceded him in death. He passed away on March 4, 2026. James retired after 30 years from TVA as a machinist and member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. He enjoyed being outdoors and grilling, but mostly spending time with his grandchildren. James loved watching them play baseball and target practice with their bows and arrows.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Kathey White Nance; daughters, Jamie (Jeff) Coleman and Jennifer (Thomas) Murff; siblings: Raby Nance Jr., Sidney Nance, and David Nance; and grandchildren: Cale Coleman, Coen Coleman, Colin Coleman, Porter Murff, and John David Murff.
