Joseph King Coleman

A Celebration of Life service for Joseph King Coleman, age 71, of Clarksville, TN, will be Monday, April 29, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service. 

Joseph was born on August 21, 1952 in Brent, AL. He passed away on April 19, 2024. Joseph was a veteran of the United States Army. He had a wonderful sense of humor, enjoyed traveling, and loved cheering on Auburn University football and basketball. Joseph loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and always showed his care and support for each of them.

Joseph was preceded in death by his father, Willie Frank Coleman of Selma, AL, mother, Mamie Lucille Coleman of Sprotts, AL, brothers: Willie Frank Coleman of Tampa, FL and Otis Thomas Coleman of Brent, AL; and son, Leon Allen of Brent, AL. He is survived by his daughters, April Smith of Birmingham, AL and Shannikia Coleman of Virginia; son, Joseph Coleman II of Kentucky; siblings: Mamie Lee Coleman of Northport, AL, Dorothy Clark and her husband Willie of Brent, AL, Vanessa Peacock of Augusta, GA, Bruce Coleman and his wife Kim of Clanton, AL; special niece, Debbie Brisbon and her husband James of Charlotte, NC; special nephew, Thomas Coleman and his wife Ruthie of Clanton, AL; granddaughters, Princess Johnson and Reanna Wilkerson; 8 additional grandchildren; 3 great-grandsons; and a host of other nieces, nephews, family, and friends that loved him dearly.
