Justine "Rusti" Dudek

A Celebration of Life service for Justine L. "Rusti" Dudek, age 97, of Clarksville, TN, will be Monday, November 7, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sango Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, before the service, from 12:30 PM until the time of service.

Rusti was born on January 30, 1925, in Petroleum, IN, to Earl Settle and Ruth Allen Settle. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. Rusti met the love of her life, Edmund, at Stout Air Field, in Indianapolis, IN, while he was serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps. They married in May of 1945 and raised a loving and wonderful family together. She was devoted to the Lord, her family, and was the type of person that never met a stranger. Visiting with treasured family, socializing and good conversation with friends were her favorite activities.

In addition to her parents, Rusti is preceded in death by her husband, Edmund C. Dudek; children, Stephen (Rose) Dudek and Denise (Richard) Berkhout; and brother, Jerry (Caroline) Settle.  She is survived by her children: David Dudek and Teri (Steven) Malnar; grandchildren: William Berkhout, Jonathan (Susie) Malnar, Betsy (Ryan) Cello, and Heidi Malnar; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers for Mrs. Dudek's service are Steven Malnar, Jonathan Malnar, Heidi Malnar, Richard Berkhout, Ryan Cello, and Robert Hayes. Betsy Cello and Susie Malnar will serve as honorary pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Rusti's hospice care provider, Amedisys Foundation, 3854 American Way, Suite A, Baton Rouge, LA 70816.
