Margie Spears

 A Celebration of Life for Margie Kathryn Spears, age 82, of Clarksville, TN, will be Monday, January 29, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Bunger officiating. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans West Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 11:00 AM until the hour of service. 

Margie was born on July 12, 1941, in Crittenden County, KY, to Mark and Thelma Puckett. She passed away on January 23, 2024.  Margie was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher for many years. She was a hard worker, retiring from both Acme Boot Co. and Trane Co. Margie loved Square dancing, singing, laughing and cooking. She also had a heart for animals and helping others. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Gloria Hill and son, John Spears and siblings, Bettie Wright Black and J.W. Puckett. Margie is survived by her husband, Howard Spears; children: William "Ed" (Tracey) Brown, Jr. and Cheryl (Kindal) Thomas; 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 4 great- great -grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Margie's memory to Spring Creek Baptist Church.
