Mary Slater

A Memorial Service for Mary Ann Slater, 61, of Big Rock, TN will be held on May 18, 2018 at the Dyer Creek Church of God in Dover at 11:00AM for family and friends. Interment will take place at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville, KY at a later date. Mary passed away on April 12, 2018, at Signature Healthcare in Erin, after a long, heroic fight with breast cancer.

She was born on Sep 17, 1956 in Hartford City, Indiana to Carl "Pete" and Anna Mae Elliott. She is a member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart (Ladies Auxiliary) Chapter 457.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Guy Slater; daughter Anna; granddaughters Olivia, Taleenah, Lilly and Takonah. She also leaves behind brothers Steven and Gary; sisters Carla, Carol, and their families.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Mary's name to The American Cancer Society (cancer.org) or the Susan G. Komen Fund (Komen.org).
