Mary Ann Stephens

Mary Ann Stephens, 76, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on October 23, 2021. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 2:00pm at Madison Street United Methondit Church Chapel. She was born on July 24, 1945 in Owensboro, KY, to Oscar and Mary Thornberry Winnecke. She graduated from Austin Peay State University with a Master's Degree. Mary Ann retired from Clarksville-Montgomery County School System after teaching at New Providence and Kenwood Middle Schools. She attended educational workshops across America during her summers and would take her new found knowledge back to her 8th grade science classes. Mary Ann was a member of Madison Street UMC for over 50 years and enjoyed knotting and cross-stitch.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, John Winnecke. Mary Ann is survived by her husband of 54 years, Joe Park Stephens; children: Kathryn (Kenneth Draughn) Stephens and Robert Park Stephens; and grandson, Dylan Lee Harvey.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
