Minnie Carnita Peters, 80 of Clarksville, TN departed this life on Sunday, June 21, 2015. A memorial service will be held at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Louie Montoya officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Saturday. Her wishes were to be cremated.
Minnie was born the daughter of Alferd and Minnie Darrow in Springfield, TN on August 31, 1934. She was a professional homemaker who loved her rose bushes, quilting and dancing. She attended First Assembly of God.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James W. Peters, Sr.; daughter, Janice Turley; 3 brothers and 1 sister.
She is survived by her children, James W. (Robin) Peters, Jr., Mae (Joseph) Deming, Dale (Isabel) Peters, Felix Peters, Janet (Ralph) Whitens; grandchildren, Jennifer (Bobby) Walker, Michael Peters, Jamie (Michael) DiPrimo, Jason Peters, Zachary (Danielle Walker) Watson, Rebecca Peters, Samantha Whitens, Elizabeth (Michael) Davis, Melissa (Paul) Wilson, Jessica Whitens, Amanda Peters; great-grandchildren, Kylie, Keira, Keanan, Kali, Macy, Hunter, Austin, Mackenzie and Asher.
