Oscar "Dean" Devers

A Celebration of Life service for Oscar "Dean" Devers, age 81, of Clarksville, TN will be Friday, June 6, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Sykes Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and again on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of service.

Dean was born on April 8, 1944 in Clarksville, TN to Oscar James and Sue Mae Jones Devers who preceded him in death. He passed away on May 31, 2025. Dean retired as a Lieutenant after 37 years of service with the Clarksville Fire Department. He was a member of Hilldale Baptist Church and loved spending time with his family. Dean enjoyed fishing, golfing, playing pool, and riding motorcycles.

In addition to his parents, Dean is preceded in death by his siblings, Mary Sue Holt and Terry Devers. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Judy Devers; son, Oscar "Deno" Devers, II and his wife Elizabeth; granddaughter, Katelyn Conn and her husband, Michael; sisters: Rose Sanders, Nancy Bearden, Judy Ann Gauldin, and Bonnie Narron.

Pallbearers will be Brian Gulledge, Jeremy Rye, Brad Martin, Rob Wenzler, Wayne Lankford, and Gavin Bearden. Serving as honorary pallbearers are: Donnie Lambert, Joe Traylor, Wayne Gulledge, Jimmy Clinard, and retirees from the Clarksville Fire Department.
