In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Bryce Welin; siblings, Diane Larson and Mark Welin; and grandchild, Trinadi Herring. Rex is survived by his wife of 46 years, Laurie Welin; daughters, Dawn (Trevor) Herring and Rebecca (Jonathon) Prevost; siblings: Vern Welin, Phyllis Vinsett, Dale Welin, Brent Welin, and Nancy Hammer; grandchildren: Alexis Welin, Chloe Prevost, Gage Herring, Carissa Prevost, and Kaitlynn Ernst; and great-grandchildren, Conner Welin and Ryder Williams.
