Richard Lindsey

Richard Wayne Lindsey, 47, Clarksville, died Sunday, July 13, 2008, at Baptist Hospital, Nashville. The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hilldale Baptist Church with Dr. Larry Robertson officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and from noon until the time of service Wednesday at Hilldale Baptist Church. Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Lindsey was born June 4, 1961 in Lawrenceburg, TN, son of Richard E. (Dick) Lindsey and Ginny Hambaugh Lindsey. He worked for North Tennessee Tool and Die as a welder for 27 years and was a proud member of Hilldale Baptist Church. He was a charter member for 22 years at East Montgomery Volunteer Fire Dept. He was preceded in death by his father. In addition to his mother Ginny Lindsey, he is survived by his Paternal Grandmother Ada "Boots" Lindsey, and daughter Sara Katherine Lindsey of Clarksville. Other survivors include his brother David Glenn (Christine) Lindsey; sisters Laura (Ed) Long and Diane (Keith) Kolaski also of Clarksville. Pallbearers will be members of East Montgomery Volunteer Fire Department and Hilldale Baptist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to East Montgomery Volunteer Fire Department or Hilldale Baptist Church.
