Robert Herman Harrell

A Celebration of Life service for Robert Herman Harrell, age 85, of Southside, TN, will be Thursday, June 2, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. Pastor Lucretia Campbell will officiate. Burial will follow at Rye's Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service. 

Robert was born on March 14, 1937 in Southside, TN, to Henry and Edna Wall Harrell. He passed away on May 26, 2022. Robert retired from General Motors in Michigan after 38 years. He was a Master knife and coin collector, enjoyed playing and collecting guitars, liked hunting and fishing, researching his family history, and riding motorcycles. He was a member of Rye's Chapel Methodist Church, The Sons of the Confederacy, and the Sons of the American Revolution. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Hattie Sue Hughes. Robert is survived by his wife of 34 years, Lena Meyers-Harrell; children: Robert (Melissa) Harrell, Dale (Delayne) Harrell, Sherry (Rich) Minjares, and Dawn Harrell; 7 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
