Funeral services for Robert Bailey Johnson, age 96 of Clarksville, will be Wednesday, Nov 30, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Ben Falls will officiate. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Nov 29, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home and on Wednesday from 10:00-11:00 AM. Pallbearers will be; Bailey Alley, Scott Alley, Bobby Mills, Robbie Mills, David Davis and Stephen Corlew. Mr. Johnson passed away on Sunday, Nov 27, 2016 at his residence. He was born on Oct 20, 1920 in Montgomery County, TN to Bailey Johnson, Jr. and Maggie Lee (Ussery)Johnson. He was a faithful member of Antioch United Methodist Church, where he served as treasurer and was an adult sunday school teacher. He was a member of the Cumberland Heights Civitan Club, the American Legion Post 7, and National Association of Letter Carriers. He was a retired letter carrier for the United States Postal Service and was a WWII Bronze Star recipient, that he received during his service in the United States Army. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Martha Smith Johnson, two grandchildren; Brian Johnson and Charlie Mills, two brothers and one sister. He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth "Betty" Mills and husband Robert, son, Robert Wayne Johnson, five grandchildren, Dana Renae Alley and husband Scott, Sean Hill and wife Fara, Robbie Mills, Charlotte Williams and husband Scott and Aaron P.
