Robert Daniel Murphy, 80, Palmyra, died Monday, November 2, 2009, at Gateway Medical Center.
No services are planned. Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Murphy was born May 28, 1929 in Dickson County, son of Brance Miles and Martha Ann Murphy.
He worked as a Millwright, was a former Teamsters Member and served in the U.S. Army 11th Airborn Division.
He is survived by his daughters Diane (Gary) Reed, Deland Florida, and Elizabeth (James) Cain of Palmyra, TN. His grandchildren are Stephanie (William) Reed-Edwards, Cortni Cain, Hope Cain, and two great grandchildren.
