Roy Wayne Meade, Sr., went to his heavenly home on March 3, 2024. He was a Vietnam Air Force Veteran, serving from 1966-1969. Roy loved all sports, specifically football and baseball. He was an umpire for girls softball, which he enjoyed deeply.
He is preceded in death by his parents Hubert and Della Meade, his loving wife of 55 years, Audrey L. Meade, and several of his siblings. He is survived by his 2 children, Roy (Annette) Meade and Jennifer (Charlie) Smith, 7 grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is greatly loved and missed by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life service will be Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
