Roy Sumrall

A Celebration of Life service for Roy Wayne Sumrall, age 78, of Clarksville, TN, will be Thursday, May 18, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Sykes Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Pastor Kim and Pastor Tom will officiate. The family will receive friends from 9: 30 AM until the time of service.

Roy was born on August 16, 1944 in Benndale, MS, to Houston and Idell Broome Sumrall. He passed away on May 14, 2023. Roy was a veteran of the United States Navy, later a civil engineer, and was a member of One Heart Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening, reading, and maintaining his lawn.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings: James Sumrall, Helen Jackson, Paul Sumrall, and Robert Sumrall. Roy is survived by his wife of 35 years, Pok Sun Sumrall; daughter, Ashley (John) Burnett; and siblings, Linda Brown and Diane Wright.
