Thomas Wayne Arms

A Celebration of Life service for Thomas Wayne Arms, age 63, of Cunningham, TN, will be Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. Rev. Jamie Mandrell and Bro. David Mackens will officiate. Burial will follow at Martha's Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service.

Thomas, known to most as Tommy, was born on January 11, 1963. He passed away unexpectedly on September 3, 2026.

Tommy was a graduate of Montgomery Central High School where he played football, baseball, and golf. He later graduated from Bethel College and was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. Tommy spent 43 years in the printing business with his career ending at Interstate Packaging. He was kind, easy-going, witty, and enjoyed the simple pleasures in life like being outdoors, fishing, and hunting. Most importantly, Tommy loved his family. He especially cherished the time spent with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Tommy is preceded in death by his father, Phillip Wayne Arms and daughter, Alicia Jo Arms. In addition to his mother, Sara Haynes Arms, he is survived by his middle school sweetheart and wife of 43 years, Tammy Davis Arms; sons, Shaun (Jennifer) Arms and Erick Arms; brothers, Phil (Theresa) Arms and Stanley (Joyce) Arms; grandchildren: Ayden Dachtler, Zachary Heim, Greyson Arms, Emerson Carver, Waylon Carver, and Tatum Carver; and many more loving family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be: Andrew Arms, Ryan Arms, Cory Arms, Jonathan Arms, Donald Greene, and Kevin Waller. Honorary pallbearers will be his nephew, JT Davis and the MCHS graduating class of 1981.
