Tony Ray Gibbs

 A Celebration of Life service for Tony Ray Gibbs, age 67, of Woodlawn, TN, will be Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. Rev. Jimmie Edwards will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service. 

Tony was born on October 22, 1955, in Clarksville, to Leonard and Eleanor Gibbs. He passed away on July 30, 2023. Tony retired as an electrician from the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System after 25 years. A hero, husband, father, Pops, and friend, he enjoyed working, loved fishing, and hunting down the elusive ground hog that seemed to always annoy him. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers: Howard Hams, David Gibbs, Terry Gibbs, and Paul Gibbs. Tony is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Janet Key Gibbs; sons: Jeremy Gibbs, Jonathan Gibbs, and Dakota (Ashley) Gibbs; sister, Connie (Keith) Wilbourn; step-mother, Lonnie Gibbs; grandson, Owen Gibbs; and many nieces and nephews.
