Wesley Holmes

January 7, 1977 — January 18, 2024

Clarksville

Wesley E. Holmes, 47, was born in Granbury, TX on January 7, 1977, and passed away on January 18, 2024.  He was predeceased by his father, Bruce Holmes.  He is survived by his wife Ana Cecilia Holmes, his son, Dylan B. Holmes, his daughter Michaela N. (Michael) Raines, and Teresa and Mike Harrison (Mom & Pops).

Wes graduated from Northwest High School in 1994.  He served in the Navy from 1995-2002.  Wes was employed from 2019 to the present at Jabil as a senior program manager.   Prior to that he was a senior consultant for a variety of firms.  Wes was particularly skilled in team building, managing and working in hospital/ambulatory systems, IT technology and software application.  He was a beloved member of Salem Community Church in Clarksville, TN.

In remembering Wesley E. Holmes, we celebrate a life that touched the hearts of those fortunate to have known him.  A remarkable friend, confidante, and father, Wes embodied qualities that left an indelible mark on the lives he encountered, even if only for a fleeting moment.  Beyond these roles, Wes was a multifaceted individual, a soldier, diligent worker, a visionary, and an embodiment of passion and purpose.  His love for physical fitness, his dedication to running and competing and his skilled craftsmanship in building things with his hands and tinkering with things, especially Jeeps and trucks, reflected his zest for life.  He enjoyed reading and challenging his mind.  Wes loved to travel and easily made long-lasting relationships with friends he made along the way.  Yet, amidst all this, Wes was also a jokester, infusing joy and laughter into every interaction.  He liked to surprise his coworkers with little treats and ways to celebrate them.  He was patient and supportive yet always challenging others to grow and evolve.  Those who knew Wes would often hear him say, “Give it your bestest.”  He had an innate ability to transform troubled moments into opportunities for growth and resolution. The beach and ocean were a sanctuary for him.  If you needed him, he was ever present in the moment of your need - you only had to ask, and he would find a way to be there.

To know Wes was to love him.  His personality and humility were sent from above.  His presence was a gift, and the memories of shared laughter, meaningful conversations, and genuineness will never be forgotten.

As we bid farewell to a truly extraordinary individual, we carry with us the legacy of Wesley E. Holmes, a legacy marked by love, compassion, resilience, and an enduring impact that transcends the boundaries of time.  In our hearts, he lives on, an eternal source of inspiration.

Wes specifically requested no service.  A small private celebration of life was held on January 20, 2024.  Donations may be made in his memory to the building fund at Salem Community Church, 2269 Seven Mile Ferry Rd., Clarksville, TN 37040.  Condolences and expressions of sympathy may be sent to Cecy Holmes, 2048 Seven Mile Ferry Rd., Clarksville, TN  37040.
