Alex Morrison

Funeral service for Alex Morrison, age 81 of Cunningham, will be Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Martha's Chapel Cemetery. Rev. Ben Falls will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and again on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until the hour of service. Alex passed away on Monday, August 5, 2019 at his residence. He was born on September 15, 1937 in Montgomery County, Tn to Clarence and Ella Yarbrough Morrison. He was a veteran of the Air Force and a retired civil service sheet metal worker at Ft. Campbell, Ky. He was a member of Martha's Chapel United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Polly Ann Morrison, son Louis Weakley, and eleven siblings. He is survived by his sons Lester Weakley and Randy (Joyce) Weakley; daughters Becky Heflin, Rhonda (Jim) Hall, Kim (Nikiti) Simpson, Melissa (Kenny) Mercer, and Kim (Brady McCahren) Wallace, 18 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Bronson Heflin, Michael Dale Wallace, Robert Wallace, Aaron Wallace, Chevy Weakley-Guinn, an Ryan Hester. Honorary pallbearers will be Harley Bridges, Raidyn Wallace, and Rowan Wallace.
