Doris Darnell

A graveside service for Doris Darnell, 90, will be held at Greenwood Cemetery on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at 2:00 PM. Doris passed away on April 29, 2019. She was born in Clarksville, November 4, 1928 to Joe Oscar Welker and May Ellen Dennis Welker.

Doris attended Western Kentucky University. She retired from Bell South/AT&T.
Doris was a long time member of Charlotte Heights Church of Christ. Doris was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hugh Darnell; daughter, Kay Darnell Mangrum; sister, Eleanor Booth; and brother, Paul Welker.

She is survived by daughter, Donna Darnell of Nashville; sister, Margaret Ann Marshall
of Clarksville; granddaughters, Kendall Dickens of Goodlettsville, Ellie Mangrum of
Nashville; grandson Lee Mangrum of Nashville; great granddaughter Ava Dickens
and great grandson Grady Gipson and several nieces and nephews. Friends and
family will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers: donations for Brookdale Senior Living can be accepted in the
name of Kendall Dickens on behalf of the caring support provided by the nurses
