Frances Griffy

A Celebration of Life service for Frances Carol Griffy, 89, of Woodlawn, TN, will be Friday, July 1, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Mathena officiating. Burial will follow at Blooming Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 30, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and again Friday from 11:00 AM until the time of service. Frances was born on November 12, 1932 to James H. and Eva T. Bowers Jones. She passed away on June 28, 2022.

Frances loved spending time with her family, going shopping, crocheting, knitting, and flowers.

In addition to her parents, Frances is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth W. Griffy; son, Dean Griffy; brother, Harold Jones; and sister, Doris Ann Mathena. She is survived by her daughter, Judy (James) Turner; brothers, Wendell (Joyce) Jones and Roger (Donna) Jones; grandchildren: Kenny Turner, Kellie Magness, David Griffy, Bradley (Amanda) Griffy, Brandon Griffy, and Daniel Griffy; great grandchildren: Savannah, Makayla, Chris, Elizabeth, Austin, Cameron, Brannigan, Adilynn, Katelynn, Cassandra, Bailyn, and Hunter; and two great-great grandchildren.

Frances' grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
