Gary Stephen Heim

A funeral mass for Gary Stephen Heim, age 73, of Clarksville, TN, (formerly of Portville, NY) will be Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at 12:30 PM at St. Michael the Arch Angel Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. The family will receive friends Monday, January 23, 2023 at Sykes Funeral Home from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM with a rosary service at 6:00 PM and again at the church on Tuesday from 11:30 AM until the time of service.

Gary was born on April 23, 1949, in Rochester, NY, to Elton and Geraldine Heim who preceded him in death. He passed away on January 17, 2023. Gary served in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam earning a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. He was a member of St. Michael the Arch Angel Catholic Church in Oak Grove, KY, the Knights of Columbus, the Boy Scouts, and volunteered his time with the catholic church youth group.
Gary enjoyed glass blowing, sailing, canoeing, hunting, and attending the USMC Lima Company 3/11 Company reunions.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Cheryl Bauer Heim; children: Kirk (Jennifer) Heim, Tasha Coccia, and Shannon (Melanie) Heim; grandchildren: Lynsie, Zachary, Matthew, Audrey, Andrew, and Westley; and siblings, Linda (Gary) Maas and Dennis Heim.
