Guy Evans, Jr.

A Graveside service for Guy Taylor Evans, Jr., age 90, will be Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Resthaven Memorial Gardens Chapel. God called him home doing what he loved to do, farming, on January 12, 2022. He was born on August 23, 1931, in Montgomery County, TN to Guy Sr. and Bessie Welker Evans.

Guy loved spending time with his family, raising cattle and tobacco, telling stories about the "old days", and creating nicknames for everyone he met.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Gertrude Evans; siblings: Marjorie Watson, Sibyl Watson, and Marie Burkhart. He is survived by his daughter, Candy (Ron) Osborne; grandchildren: Amanda (Chuck) Sandbothe, Heather (Paul) Frazier, Brandon (Kathrine) Osborne, Tabetha (Steven) Carver;12 great grandchildren; and siblings, Isabel Burkhart and Jimmy (Pansy) Evans.
