Horace Grant

A Celebration of Life service for Horace Edwin Grant, age 94 of Clarksville, will be Monday, March 15, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. Bro. Ben Falls will officiate. Burial will follow in the Chapel Hill UMC Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 11:00 AM until the time of service. Horace passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Tennova Healthcare. He was born on June 15, 1926 in Clarksville, TN to Dennis Grant and Lorena Lee. He was a WWII Army veteran and the owner of Grant's Grocery for 35 years. Horace enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, and cutting his grass.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 74 years, Lucille Grant; son, Larry Grant; grandson, Joe Sheppard; and 2 great-great grandchildren. He is survived by his daughter, Charlotte (Buddy) Sexton; 2 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great grandchildren.

Family will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Chapel Hill UMC Cemetery c/o Kevin Grant or Urban Ministries.
