James Foxx of Clarksville, TN transitioned to be with the Lord on Friday, May 15, 2020. His funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 23, 2020 with Elder Leon Aaron White officiating at Sykes Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at 12:00 PM until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home in Clarksville, TN. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park in Greensboro, NC.

James was born and raised in Greensboro, NC to Everlene Foxx and Jimmy Leath. He is preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Leath and sister, Sonya Foxx.

Along with his mother, James is survived by his loving wife, Jackie Foxx; sons, Diego Foxx and Shemar Pearson; daughters, Hateya Foxx, Lael Foxx, and Isis Puckett; sisters, Deborah Foxx-Simmons (Gary Simmons), Jessica Foxx-Cornelius (Kenneth Cornelius), and Keisha Hammond and brother, Christopher Hammond.

James was a loving husband and caring father. He had love for the Lord and all of those he has met. He was an avid reader, enjoyed cooking, and mentoring men and youth. He was passionate about his ministry and following Christ.
