Joseph Henry

A Celebration of Life service for Joseph Henry, age 73 of Greenbrier, will be Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 2:00 PM at McFerrin Missionary Baptist Church 431 W Old Hickory Blvd. Madison, TN 37115. Bro. Johnny Carver will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 PM until the time of service on Saturday. Joseph passed away on April 7, 2021. He was born on November 4, 1947 to James and Azzrena Robinson Henry in Little Rock, AR.

Joseph Henry was a man of few words but always had a smile for anyone he met. Joes later years were filled with numerous health issues, surgeries and hospital stays, yet he never wanted us to fuss over him. Joe never planned to stay long at the hospital so he wouldn't pack much, didn't want to be any trouble to anyone. Joes doctors even told us that he never looks sick, never complained and was a happy guy even though he was very sick. Everyone who met Joe liked him. Joseph Henry was a kind, caring, hardworking, loving man who loved all of his family, cars of all kinds, basketball and bird watching. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Robert Henry and Carolyn Henry. He is survived by his wife Donna Perkins Henry; sons, Joseph Henry, Jr. and Phillip Henry; daughters: Yolonda Coleman, Jodi Townes, and Courtney Henry. Joseph was also a step-father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend to many.
