Lue Vurble Chester Groves, age 87, passed away on December 28, 2021 at her home. She was born in Montgomery County,Boiling Springs, Clarksville, TN on February 6, 1934 to Allen and Irene Trice Chester. Lue was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on February 23, 1974. She enjoyed participating in Christian activities, quilting, and fishing. Everyone loved Grandma "Aunt Vurb" and she enjoyed spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Daulton Groves; daughter, Drusilla Gail Trice; step-father, Stogie Bell; and brother, Allen Chester. She is survived by her daughters, Fay Sain and Lorraine Groves- Hatcher; son, Terry (Beverly) Groves; grandchildren: Don (Alfreda) Thomas, Dana Owens, Chiquita (Derick) Simmons, Jermaine (Ludie) Trice, Salinda Trice, Jonathan Hatcher, Jessica Hatcher, and Terri Groves; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She will be laid to rest at her family cemetery, Benevolent Lodge Order 210, at a later date.
