Mary Devers

A Celebration of Life service for Mary Pearl Devers, age 97, of Clarksville, TN, will be Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery where she will be laid to rest alongside her husband, William Devers, who preceded her in death. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 5, 2022 from 4:00 PM-7:00 PM and again on Wednesday from 12:00 PM until the time of service.

Mary was born on July 11, 1924 in Bumpus Mills, TN to Jim and Annie Wilson Wall. She passed away on June 29, 2022. Mary was a member of St. Bethlehem United Methodist Church, involved with the United Methodist Women's Group, and ran the Garden of Love Pet Cemetery in Clarksville since 1975. In her younger years she enjoyed camping, but spent most of her later years loving her family and volunteering at Loaves & Fishes.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mary is preceded in death by 11 siblings and her son, Frank Devers. She is survived by her children: Barry (Wanda) Devers, Jerry Devers, and William (Rhonda) Devers, II; daughter-in-law, Betty Devers; grandchildren: Greg (Kathy), Steve (Pam), Christopher, Tammy, Christin, Jennifer, William III (Dana), Mason, Ethan, and Hayleigh; and five great-grandchildren.

Family will serve as pallbearers.
