Sp6 Lee Roy Kerr, Army (Ret)

A Celebration of Life service for SP6 Lee Roy Kerr, ARMY (Ret), age 88, of Clarksville, TN, will be Wednesday January 12, 2022 at 12:00 PM  at Sykes Funeral Home. Burial will follow with full military honors at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. The family will receive friends on Wednesday one hour prior to the service . Lee was born on August 18, 1933 in Newell, AL to Henry and Atha Edwards Kerr. He passed away on January 6, 2022.

Lee retired from the United States Army after 22 years. He served in Japan, Korea, and two tours in Vietnam. Lee was formerly an ordained deacon at Northeast Baptist Church and enjoyed bowling and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his children Rhonda Kerr and James Kerr; and 7 siblings. He is survived by his wife, of 67 years, Phyllis Hanson Kerr, children: Angela (John) Leach, Teresa Kerr, Pamela (James) Shadowens, and Richard Kerr; brother, Winfred Kerr; 15 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 3 great great-grandchildren.
