Ssg Jason Nugent, Army (Ret)

SSG Jason Ray Nugent, ARMY (Ret), age 67, passed away on September 3, 2021. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2021, 12:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Burris officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10:30AM until the time of service. Burial will follow at 2:00 PM at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West with full military honors. Jason was born in Wenatchee, WA to Milas and Claudia Howard Nugent.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three siblings. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Pyong Nugent; children: Natasha, Jason, and Charlie, and grandchildren: Nathan, Chloe, and Corbin, and three siblings.

Jason retired as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army after 20 years. He served in the Gulf War and was a Bronze Star recipient. Jason was a member of the First Baptist Church of St. Bethlehem.
